Presence and Parasocial Sexual Arousal

A study to explore the dynamics of the mediated erotic interpersonal encounter.

Three independent variables (self-disclosure vs. no self-disclosure, live vs. recorded performance, close proximity of location of mediated performer vs. distant proximity) will be manipulated in an experiment to determine their effects on presence, parasocial interaction, and sexual arousal.
