Bringing a professional background in interactive design, Lance works to provide design stimulus and background supportn for doctorate candidate research projects, Ohio State University M.I.N.D. Lab and for OSU Communication Department.

An Americorp alum, Lance has a passion for the development and application of communication technologies for use in social service settings. In spring 2006, Lance hopes to begin work on a senior project exploring practical applications of communication technology in non profit settings. Lance is also interested in research related to the selective presentation of self in CMC.

In addition to his academic work, Lance is a published poet and essayist. In 2003, he formed a collective of educators, artists, designers and IT professionals to launch the award winning literary/arts/media review, semantikon.com.
