![]() Tom German Student M.I.N.D. Lab, Ohio State University Tom German is a Ph.D. student who is interested in new communication technology and its applications in areas such as pedagogy and health care. He has also studied the cognitive and motivational roots of third-person effect, the relationship between mood and television viewing, and the relationship between media use and physical activity. Tom's dissertation work will focus on the persuasive potential of technology when meaningful and culturally sensitive tailoring algorithms are employed to craft and deliver messages. He is also interested in journalism and has 10 years of professional experience in news and public television production. In his spare time he plays drums and guitar very loudly in his basement. |
